    • 1. Gather Supplies: Soft cloths, gloves, mild soap, warm water, baking soda, vinegar or lemon juice, olive/mineral oil, soft brush, optional brass polish.
    • 2. Clean Basics: Soap & Water: Gently scrub with soapy warm water; rinse and dry completely. Baking Soda Paste: Use baking soda + water paste for tougher dirt; rinse and dry.
    • 3. Remove Tarnish: Vinegar or Lemon: Dab on cloth, rub tarnished areas, rinse, dry. Baking Soda + Vinegar Paste: Apply, wait a few minutes, scrub, then rinse and dry.
    • 4. Polish & Protect Shine Oil: Rub a small amount of olive or mineral oil to enhance shine and protect. Polish: Follow product specific directions if using commercial brass polish.
    • 5. Preserve Finish: Apply clear lacquer or metal sealant to ward off future tarnish. Store in dry, cool areas—ideally in anti‑tarnish pouches or cloths.
    • 6. Finish Touch: Inspect for remaining spots; repeat cleaning steps if necessary.
