Magnolia Tours, Workshops, and Experiences

Storytelling and connection are at the heart of everything we do here at Magnolia. When you visit us in Waco, Texas, you’ll find a variety of offerings everyone can enjoy together—whether you choose to learn a new skill in a hands-on workshop or take a guided tour of one of Chip and Jo’s projects. We hope you'll join us for some time well spent at the Silos and around town!

  • A collection of glass cloches displaying dried and preserved mushrooms and botanical specimens, arranged on a rustic wooden table against a dark paneled background.
  • Autumn Cloche Workshop

Make something meaningful this season at the Silos! Stemming from Jo’s pastime of preserving memories marked by flowers, this experience explores how to create a lasting arrangement you can display from every angle. You’ll be guided through the process of filling a glass cloche with natural materials (like dried botanicals, moss, and wooden mushrooms) and layering a variety of heights, colors, and textures into a three-dimensional design. All supplies are included, and no experience is required.

Note: Each cloche arrangement can be wrapped for travel to ensure safe transportation.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time of year to visit the Magnolia Silos?

Any time of year! Waco usually sees our best weather in the Spring or Fall, and if you want to plan to attend one of our annual events, those usually take place in October (Silobration) and March (Spring at the Silos). Summer is also usually less crowded, and we have plenty of spots indoors and in the shade to beat the heat!

What is the best day of the week to visit the Magnolia Silos?

The slowest foot traffic at the Silos tends to be mid-week: Tuesday – Thursday.

How can I be notified the next time you announce an event?

Make sure you’re a Home Team member! With a free Home Team membership, you’ll receive emails about our upcoming events and more. Sign up for Home Team here.

Is it best to visit the Silos during an event?

The Silos property is ready to welcome guests every Monday – Saturday, but we really put on the best show during our events. If you prefer smaller crowds, non-event days are your best option!

Do you offer group discounts for event tickets?

Our group discounts only apply to non-event weekends.

How do I become a vendor at a Magnolia event?

We release vendor applications through our @visitmagnolia social channel several months before Silobration. Keep an eye out for opportunities to apply!
