"This item is not very good quality. First of all, the pungent smell. Second, it is not sealed so the color bleeds essy into anything that is placed on then. Lastly, the wood id parted in several places. Im disappointed because I purchased both sizes."

Magnolia Market

"I recently had the privilege to visit Magnolia. I loved all of it! The grounds are just beautiful with charming outside seating and food trucks!! We loved all of the shops, restaurants and bakery and the food was delicious!! Magnolia Market serviced us in such a great way! I received my packages just days after I was there and everything was wrapped perfectly. My family and I had a wonderfully special time at Magnolia and we hope to visit again! Stained but not sealed, wouldn't use for real food

"This bread board on first glance is lovely, but after a good wipe down I put my loaf of sourdough on it and within one night it absorbed the strong chemical smell of the stain which covers it (a stain which is not disclosed in its product specifications, although I was assured later was food safe). I had to throw my whole loaf of freshly baked bread out. Upon closer inspection I realized the board was stained and not sealed. The stain came off easily with a damp paper towel. Magnolia customer service (which is exceptional) sent a replacement, only to share the same flaw. Stain and strong odors, permeating everything that touched it, plus two splits in the wood. For a mama who is very careful of these things, it was unusable, until I sanded it down multiple times to eliminate the stain entirely, wiped it with a food-safe mineral oil and then let it air out for a couple of days in the sun. Which is a lot of work to dispatch doubts and damaging odors. If you're just using it for show, no problem. If you're using it for real food, I'd be careful."
