"1st, the dishes were very well packaged. There's plenty of room on the plates and the raised rim ensures the food is plated well. Looks like pottery, and I have a set of dishes that are pottery, and they, too, have scratches on them. It's not porcelain. Some of the reviews complain about it. Here's what to do. Cover them with delicious food! Use them. Care for them. Enjoy having them in your cupboard, and on your table. What doesn't show some wear? We do, too. God bless!"
