disappointing quality for the price
"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt other buyers should know what to expect. The shelf arrived with paint chipped in multiple places, as shown in the photos I included. The packaging was also split open when it arrived. Considering how expensive the shipping was, I expected much better packaging and handling. On top of that, it took longer than the advertised 3–5 days just for the order to ship. The biggest disappointment, however, was the quality of the product itself. For the price Magnolia charges, I expected something that looked and felt like a premium product. Instead, it honestly looks more like something I would expect to find on Amazon for around $40. The construction and fit were also poor. The wooden shelves do not fit properly into the brackets, leaving a large and very noticeable gap in the slots where they are supposed to sit. The screw sockets used to attach the shelves to the brackets also did not line up properly, making assembly unnecessarily difficult. Between the chipped paint, damaged packaging, slow shipping, excessive shipping cost, poor fit and finish, and overall quality, this product was nowhere near worth what I paid for it. I rarely review products, especially negatively, but this was such a poor overall experience that I felt it was important to let other customers know. At this price point, I expected significantly better quality control and a product that actually felt premium."

"We absolutely LOVE our shelf!! Right now we have mason jars and some decor but eventually we will have spices. We are still waiting on our other shelf we ordered before this one. We love the quality however some of the gold rods are lose which sucks but it is what it is. Looks great in our kitchen."
