"The bookcase is hefty! It's all real wood, so it has some weight to it. The coloring and distressing are just perfect. It was a little frustrating to assemble as a few of the shelves were close enough together that our drill wouldn't fit, so we had to try to put those screws in by hand. There were no pilot holes drilled in the shelves, so that's fun by hand. Also a few of the counter sink holes for the screws weren't deep enough to allow enough of the screw to go into the shelf. For now, until we can get better screws and a small drill a few of the shelves are not screwed down completely. This won't affect the use of the shelf at all that I can see but we'll eventually want to get that fixed. I won't take a star off for the frustrations in assembling because it's so beautiful once it's put together that you forget all that! I love the large size - it really makes a statement on the wall. "
