"The only reason I knew what kind of lightbulb to get was because I read another review that said they had to try a few times to get the base right- it's a candelabra A 40W. It is very stylish but I would agree that it doesn't quite fit the price range for the quality."

"Poor quality lamp. The base is pieces of metal poorly joined together and seemingly spray painted, as well as hollow and rough so that it will surely scratch the surface it’s placed onto. Such a disappointment and unfortunately didn’t realize it couldn’t be returned. I’d expect better quality for the price and from Magnolia!"

"I love the look the lamp. I’m most unhappy that there’s a place on the shade where the paint is chipped. I wish the on/ off switch wasn’t on the cord. It makes it hard to reach when in bed. It would also be nice if it swiveled side to side and not just up and down. For the price, it’s too bad it doesn’t have a USB port. And talk about finding the right light bulb. It took me three tries. It says type A. Well, it takes a bulb with a candelabra base. Too expensive to not have better features. "
