Ingredients
Onion sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dried crispy onions
Tomatoes
- 4 large tomatoes, preferably beefsteak or Big Boy variety, thickly sliced
- Pinch onion sugar (recipe above)
- Hearty pinch of flaky sea salt
Directions
- Make the onion sugar: In a food processor, combine the sugar and onions and pulse until combined. Store in a clean, airtight jar.
- Make the tomatoes: Arrange the tomatoes on a platter and sprinkle with onion sugar and sea salt. Let the tomatoes sit at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
