Maple Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 1½ ounces apple cider
  • 1½ ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 1½ ounces bourbon 
  • ½ ounce pure maple syrup 
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Dash ground cinnamon
  • Dash ground nutmeg
  • Dash Angostura bitters
  • Star anise pod for garnish

Directions

Combine egg white, apple cider, lemon juice, bourbon, maple syrup, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and bitters in a cocktail shaker with no ice. Cover and shake vigorously until frothy, about 15 shakes. Add ice and shake again until well chilled. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with star anise pod.
