Every year in October, we host a free event called Silobration to commemorate the anniversary of Magnolia Market’s grand opening at the Silos. This year, it’s taking place October 10-12, which is just around the corner! To serve as a starting point for your visit, we’ve put together an itinerary of all things Magnolia and Silobration.

Let’s get into it!

Morning

Whether you’re getting an early start or soaking in a slow morning, there are so many fun ways to kick off your day here at the Silos.

Breakfast foods and plants displayed on circular dining table

People walking along row of white, vendor tents
  • Fuel up for the fun ahead with a delicious breakfast at Magnolia Table (just an 8-minute drive from the Silos). We recommend making a reservation in advance or joining the waitlist before you arrive, but you could also check out our Take Away Market if you’re in a hurry.
  • Once at the Silos, pick up a copy of our (free!) newspaper, Magnolia Post, for the inside scoop on all things Silobration.
  • Head to Magnolia Market to explore our curated product collections and beautiful fall displays. If your shopping tote gets a little heavy, no worries—we can ship your things home for you!
  • Walk downstairs in the Market to check out The Sale Shop, featuring scratch and dent items sold at a discount, and Ferny's, for a curation of retro-inspired goods.
  • Just for Silobration, we’ve invited more than 60 talented small businesses and vendors to set up shop here in Waco. Here’s a list of who’s joining us this yearOpens in new tab.
  • Find a seat on the lawn to enjoy some free live music from the Silos stage. Keep an eye out for weekend schedules posted around the grounds—these signs will tell you when and where you can find each of the artists and daytime activities!
  • Say “cheese!” for one of our wandering polaroid photographers.
  • Get tattooed (temporarily) at the station just past the patio behind Magnolia Press.
  • Bonus: Start your day with yoga on the lawn. Join local studio Yoga8 on the Silos lawn at 8am. (Friday, October 11 only!)

Afternoon

Time flies when you’re having fun! Now is a good time to slow down and fuel up for more fun ahead.

  • Grab a picnic lunch from Magnolia Table at the Silos, then step up to the plate for a pick-up game of Wiffle ball at our historic field, Katy Ballpark.
  • Join our friends from Fabled Bookshop for readings of Jo’s children’s books, We are the Gardeners and The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be, happening at 2pm each day of Silobration. (Located in front of The Old Church!)
  • Walk through cozy, inviting room scenes inside Magnolia Home, then shop the pieces to turn that inspiration into reality for your own space.
  • Book our new Garden ExperienceOpens in new tab at the Silos for a workshop on one of Jo’s favorite pastimes: how to create your own timeless floral art (that you’ll get to take home). Plus, you’ll get a guided tour of our garden here on the grounds.
  • Shop and stroll through all six of our boutique-inspired Shops at the Silos, including a few brand-new additions, like The Holiday Shop for all things fun and festive.
  • Pause inside The Old Church and take in a beautiful, curated art gallery featuring pieces by local artist, Sean Oswald.
  • Go on a scavenger hunt around the Silos inspired by Jo’s new children's book, The World Needs the Wonder You See.
  • Make time for an afternoon pick-me-up at Magnolia Press Coffee Co. (We recommend trying our fall flavors, like pumpkin spice, brown sugar, cranberry, and apple pie!)
  • Bonus: Join author Liz Bell Young for a signing of her book, Let There Be Havens, from 2-4pm in Magnolia Home. (Friday, October 11 only!)
