Some meals capture the essence of autumn in every bite—comforting, nostalgic, and warm. Casserole. Soup. Pumpkin pie. The flavors of fall.

As the seasons change and we begin craving cold-weather comfort food, squash is a staple ingredient to keep on hand. Hearty and warming, different varieties can be a great way to add antioxidants, fiber, and other nutrients to a meal while embracing the best of autumn’s harvest.
