Season 3 Recap April 5, 2016 I can’t believe season three is already over! It’s always a little bittersweet to see a season come to a close. But this one was without a doubt my favorite season yet. Our clients are hands down the best, and we love that they completely trust us with their homes, their vision, and their budget. Season three was also the biggest and most unique group of Fixer Uppers yet! We had 17 projects total, which has been a whirlwind. In the busiest time of filming, we would have one, sometimes even two, reveals in a week. There’s so much coordination required to get all of the finishing touches done before reveal day, and Chip and i are so thankful that we have an awesome Magnolia Homes team who works nonstop to make sure each one of these homes is perfect for our Fixer Upper families. Today I thought I’d share some of my favorite rooms and spaces from season 3, to revisit these awesome projects one more time before we say our official goodbye. I can honestly say that I think I had a new favorite space in every single home we renovated. It was like project after project left me inspired and excited to tackle the next. Spaces like the Magnolia House coffee bar, the wood feature wall in Pawpaw’s House and the Baby Blue House playroom were just a handful of many highlights. In this season, we faced major challenges like the Barndominium and the Shotgun House. Trying to figure out how to seamlessly turn a horse barn into a family home, and a tiny house into a practical living space wasn’t just “another day at the office”—these were truly challenging and unique projects that kept me moving for months. But these homes turned out to be a few of my all-time favorite Fixer Uppers! Here’s a fun breakdown of some of my favorite stats from Season 3! And some season 3 behind the scenes moments where we had a little fun… Chip and I also have to give a huge thank you to High Noon Entertainment, our producers, and our film crew – these are the people who make this whole thing come together, and without them there really wouldn’t be a show. Over the next few months I’ve got some really fun spring and summer blogs planned, so keep checking in! Subscribe to the newsletter and follow along on Instagram (@joannagaines and @magnolia) to never miss a post. We hope you guys enjoyed this season as much as Chip and I did. Thank y’all so much for following along with us on this journey. We’re currently filming season 4, so there’s more to come!
