My rug collections

November 2, 2016

A few weeks ago I shared with you the heart behind my rug line, and why I decided to design my own rugs. I had a lot of people comment and want to know more about the individual collections, so this week, I thought it would be fun to share their stories. Each is so different and has its own little design background. A few of my rug collections are even named after three of my kids, because they remind me so much of their sweet personalities.

I saved a collection of throws to name after Duke because he’s so snuggly—but that will come later.

Be sure to comment below and let me know which of the eight rug collections is your favorite. See  and shop the complete collections here.

I love that there is an obvious softness to this collection’s texture. The ivory wool they are made from makes them easy to clean—which, living on a farm with four kids, was a major selling point for me. So no matter where you decide to put it—kid’s room, playroom, even high traffic areas like the living room—it’ll stand up.

Drake is my oldest son and my solid thinker. This collection is named after Drake because it’s trustworthy, like him. Drake is all-boy. You can always find him throwing a ball around or working with dad out on the farm. Like Drake, this collection is masculine. The patterns are classic, and the designs have a natural consistency that I love. This entire collection is hand woven from 100% jute, so the durability is a bonus.

Ella Rose

My oldest daughter, Ella Rose, is my delicate child. My classic beauty. This rug collection is named after her because of its intricate detail and design, which reminds me of Ella’s heart. If you appreciate a good neutral, but also classically beautiful rug—you’ll love this collection as much as I do.

Emmie Kay

Like this collection, my youngest daughter Emmie Kay is bold and creative. These rugs really highlight the parts of her personality that I love most about her; her spunk, character and energy. All of the pieces in this collection are hand woven from 100% wool, and each one brings the same young and fun energy to a room as Emmie does.

The Kivi rugs have a calm, cool and collected vibe. It’s neutral, but has personality. I like the way these rugs pop without stealing the show, and also have a modern yet classic look to them. Something unique about this group is that it comes in more shapes and sizes than any other collection in my line—making them versatile for any room.

I like the way the Lotus collection combines contrasting colors and uses interesting patterns and shapes. My favorite part about this group of rugs is that they are the softest ever. They’re thick and plush, which basically makes me want to curl up with a blanket and take a nap on them.

I love the braided detail of the fringe, and the soft and subtle ribbed texture that gives this collection a Moroccan feel. These are neutral and casual, but still give a space a fresh feeling without having to worry if they’re too “trendy” or if they’ll go out of style. These are here to stay.

I love a good neutral rug, but I can also appreciate a bold statement. The Brushstroke rugs use color and pattern to make a big impact. I like these because they’re unique. I’ve never seen anything just like them.

So there you have it, those are all 8 of the rug collections! Remember that you can shop and see the full line at Magnolia Market or retailers nationwide. Maybe my most asked rug question is what size rug to use in what space—so I’m working on another fun rug blog that will help you choose the perfect one for every room in the house. Also be on the lookout for a blog about my throw blankets and pillows!

A beautiful variety of patterns and colours! Great, Joanna! If I didn't live so far away and our lux-tax wasn't so enormous, I'd order one right away!
