The Silo District Marathon is an annual 5k, Half Marathon, and Marathon race hosted by Magnolia and held in Waco, Texas. Initially started in honor of Chip’s marathon goal and heart for the BRAVE LIKE GABE Foundation, this USATF certified race is a Boston Marathon qualifier, and is sure to challenge all participants. Race net profits will be directed to the BRAVE LIKE GABE Foundation in support of rare cancer research and benefit cancer patients treated at the Baylor Scott & White McClinton Cancer Center in Waco. This year’s races will be held Sunday, April 28th.

The Virtual Races are open to anyone who wants to tackle a 5K, half or full marathon and support our cause to help end cancer, but can’t make it to Waco this year. On display is the latest products in running footwear, apparel and accessories, as well as the latest developments in sports, fitness and nutrition. This is an excellent opportunity to promote products, services, and build brand awareness for those interested in health and wellness to over 20,000 attendees in Waco during the Silo District Marathon weekend. The expo is limited to 30 booths of health and fitness and sports to create a memorable experience for attendees and vendors alike.

Parking is available in two locations in the Waco area surrounding the race route. Download the free Waze navigation app on your smartphone so you know where the road closures to avoid are located on race day. Search for “Waze” in your app store or visit Waze.com for more information.
Free transportation hours of operation
Prior to the race start: 5:00AM – 6:45AM
Following the race start: 8:00AM – 4:00PM
IMPORTANT: Transportation will pause at 6:45 AM prior to the race start and begin again at 8:00 AM. We recommend arriving early to allow plenty of time to hop on the trolley and head to the silos to make your race start time.

Free Parking at the McLane Stadium

Trolley Pick Up: There is NO shuttle pick up location at McLane Stadium. Participants will walk from McLane Stadium lot over the Brazos River on the pedestrian bridge to University Parks near the Mayborn Museum Complex. Event Staff will direct participants to the trolley stop area.
Free Parking at the Ferrell Center
1900 S University Parks Dr, Waco
Trolley Pick Up: Just north of the entrance to the Ferrell Center parking lot, the trolley will pick up participants off University Parks. Event Staff will direct participants to this trolley stop area.
Yes, there are course time limits:
The Silo District Marathon will officially end at 1:00 PM when the course will reopen to regular vehicular traffic. There will be no support of any kind on the course (aid stations, medical, communications, etc.) for anyone not maintaining the maximum pace. No official times will be provided for anyone finishing after 1:00PM.
Packet pick up will be located at our Health + Fitness Expo at the Waco Convention Center, 100 Washington Ave, Waco, TX 76701. Be sure to bring your ID!
Note: There will be no packet pickup on race day.
You can pick up your bib at the race solutions tent at the Silos. Shirts can be picked up at the same location following the race.

Pacers will be spread out within the start corral. Line up to your respective time.
Strollers are allowed on the 5K course, however we strongly discourage strollers on the half marathon and full marathon course.

In order to participate in the 5k, half marathon, or full marathon, you must register prior to the race.

5k – ages 4 and older Half marathon – ages 9 and older Full marathon – ages 13 and older For your safety, anyone participating in the event must be a registered runner.
All registration fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to participate for any reason, we will not be able to accommodate refunds.
No—we are unable to transfer registration from one runner to another. Each participant over the age of 18 must register themselves and sign their own participation waiver.
Yes! No refunds will be issued for the price difference based on moving down to a shorter distance. Please visit the guest services booth at the expo during race weekend to change your race.

Book a hotel through Waco Heart of Texas
Weapons of any kind, bags, bandit runners, and miscellaneous items including pets, drones, selfie sticks, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, coolers, or any props that could be considered be a trip hazard are NOT allowed on the courses. In addition, any costumes that cover the face, are bulky, or extend beyond the body are prohibited.
