A Simple Roast Chicken
Some recipes become staples in your home because of their reliability. Simple to make, delicious, and just as good the next day. This meal is just that for our family, beginning with what I consider to be the perfect Roast Chicken—a flavor-rich dish that only requires a few minutes of prep, yet delivers the best taste every time.
One way I like to simplify menu planning is by using the same ingredients in multiple dishes. So today I’m making a Sweet Kale Salad tossed in a homemade poppyseed dressing. I’m adding the leftover kale and some sun-dried tomatoes to my creamy bowtie pasta. Since I still have some cream cheese leftover from the pasta sauce, I’m using it to create one of Chip’s favorite desserts: a Classic Cheesecake served with whipped cream and strawberries.
