A Closer Look: The Silos Expansion

Our vision for the Silos has always been to offer a place where people could gather and spend time together. It’s really an honor every time someone chooses to walk through those gates, and it’s important to Chip and me that the experiences we create across the grounds are unique and meaningful, and offer something for everyone. The hope with these new additions is that no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll come explore and leave feeling renewed.
— Jo

Last year, we broke new ground at the Silos to continue building toward Chip and Jo’s vision for our little corner of Waco. We’ve added spaces for you to shop, explore, and relax with the people you love. And here’s the good news: it’s done and ready for you to visit!

But first, a quick tour + birds eye view so you can see where everything is . . .

The Old Church

As you walk through our new entrance on 8th street, the first thing you'll notice is The Old Church—one of Waco’s oldest structures—restored to serve as a historical anchor to the Silos grounds. We hope this building serves as an inspiring part of your experience—one that as you pass through allows you to pause, reflect, and take in all the beauty it has to offer.

Shops at the Silos

Each one of our six shops has been curated by Jo with a specific style and theme in mind—ranging from bath + body, men’s provisions, bags + jewelry, women’s clothing, books + paper, and kids + baby. While the Market will continue to host our more robust home decor and kitchen selection, the Shops at the Silos offer a more intimate shopping experience and product selection.

Magnolia Press Patio

The best seat in the house is on the patio just outside Magnolia Press and Magnolia Home. You can find a spot in the sun or in the shade, and on cool days you can warm up beside the fireplace.

Katy Ballpark

The Silos grounds was once home to Katy Park, a historic baseball field that played host to legends like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. In an effort to pay homage to this history, Chip and Jo wanted to include a smaller version of the field—a WIFFLE ball field. Now you can play ball with your family and friends, or sit in the stands and cheer for the home team.

Ballpark Concession Stand

We couldn’t have a WIFFLE ball field without a concession stand, so we’re offering classic gametime fare right across from the field.

Magnolia Food Trucks + Breezeway

Along with our food truck park, we have a few food trucks of our own located right across from Katy Ballpark.

Magnolia Table food truck

features selections from our restaurant

Maggie’s Sweet Shoppe

our brand new, retro-inspired food truck serving hand pies and handcrafted sodas

Silos Baking Co. Airstream

Photo Booth
