Home Lighting
Lighting is one of the most effective ways to change how a room feels, and it's often the last thing people think about when decorating. This collection includes table lamps, floor lamps, ceiling fixtures, and wall lighting in styles that bring warmth and a sense of intention to the spaces they're in. Whether you're layering light in a living room or adding a bedside lamp with the right amount of glow, the right fixture makes a noticeable difference.
Layering your lighting is the key to a room that feels comfortable at any time of day. Overhead fixtures provide general illumination, but they rarely create atmosphere on their own. Table lamps and floor lamps add a warmer, lower light that softens the room and makes it feel more lived-in. Accent lighting, like a wall sconce beside art or a small lamp on a bookshelf, adds depth and draws attention to the details.
What size table lamp should I choose?
For a nightstand or end table, a lamp that sits between 24 and 27 inches total (base plus shade) works well for most settings. The bottom of the shade should be roughly at eye level when you're seated. For a console or buffet table, you have more room to go taller, especially if the ceiling height can handle it.
How do I choose the right bulb for a warm, cozy feel?
Look for bulbs with a color temperature between 2700K and 3000K. That range produces a warm white light that's flattering and comfortable for living spaces. Avoid anything above 4000K in a bedroom or living room, since cooler light tends to feel harsh and clinical in those settings.
