Room Diffusers & Room Spray
Scent is one of the quieter ways to make a home feel more intentional — present without demanding attention, changing how a room feels without changing how it looks. This collection brings together Magnolia's reed diffusers and room sprays in the brand's signature scents: Gathered, Linen, Greenhouse, Stay a While, and Twelve Nights. All diffusers are handmade in small batches in the USA from petro- and glycol-free oil, and each provides up to six months of continuous fragrance. Room sprays offer a more immediate option for a quick refresh between diffuser refills or in spaces where you want fragrance on demand.
What is the difference between a reed diffuser and a room spray?
A reed diffuser releases fragrance slowly and continuously over time — the reeds draw the scent oil up and disperse it into the air passively, with no heat or electricity required. It's a set-it-and-forget-it option that maintains a consistent background scent in a room. A room spray delivers an immediate, stronger burst of fragrance and dissipates within an hour or two. The two work well together: a diffuser for everyday ambient scent and a room spray for a quick refresh before guests arrive or whenever you want a more noticeable hit of fragrance.
Where should you put a reed diffuser in a room?
Place a diffuser in a spot with some natural airflow, near a doorway, a window, or a vent , so the scent circulates through the room rather than sitting in one spot. Avoid placing it directly in front of a strong air source, which can cause the oil to evaporate too quickly. For a bedroom, a nightstand or dresser works well. For a living room, a console table or bookshelf near a doorway keeps the scent moving through the space. The closer to nose height the diffuser sits, the more present the scent will feel.
