Ingredients
- 2 to 3 heads Little Gem lettuce, rinsed, dried, and split in half
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons rose water (see Cook’s Note)
- 1 pinch flaky sea salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
- 2 pinches sumac (see Cook’s Note)
- 2 tablespoons fresh mint, roughly chopped
Directions
- Arrange the lettuce on a platter, cut-side up.
- In a mason jar or bowl, combine the buttermilk, mayonnaise, rose water, salt, and pepper. Screw the lid on the jar and shake or whisk the ingredients together in a bowl until thoroughly combined.
- Drizzle the dressing over the lettuce. Sprinkle with the sumac and mint and serve.
