Add fragrant basil and it’s heavenly! I like to make this with a homemade pastry that’s light and airy and full of layers, yet strong enough to hold a tart filling. The really simple technique here makes a puffy, layered pastry that’s so delicious and soft. This is a perfect dish to bring to a picnic.
TIP: Repeatedly folding and rolling the dough makes for a wonderful version of puff pastry full of tender layers.
