Special Occasion Favorites
For birthdays in our family, it’s tradition to gather for a homemade dinner. Everyone has their favorite meal—a menu I know, without a doubt, they’ll request year after year. For example, Drake always wants fatayer and I know I’ll be baking a black forest cake for my dad. But my mom likes to be surprised.
When her birthday rolls around, I know I’ll get to make something outside of our normal rotation. So this year, I decided to make Raspberry-Chipotle Pork Tenderloin—a juicy take on an otherwise dry cut of meat—and paired it with some more familiar favorites like crisp Brussels Sprouts Salad, cheesy Zucchini Squash Strata, and a Chocolate-Cola Cake for dessert.
Part of the joy of feeding the ones we love is the way it brings everyone together—and we all leave the table full in more ways than one.
Let’s get cooking!
