DIY New Years Confetti Poppers December 31, 2015 As 2015 comes to an end and we prepare to welcome the new year, we thought it would be fun to recycle some of your leftover wrapping paper and make some confetti-filled New Year’s Eve poppers. These bring out a childlike excitement in your guests and add a fun element to your table settings! We opted for the classic black, white and gold that is so popular during this celebration, but these elegant crackers can be customized to coordinate with any table decor. Simply place at each setting or set out on a tray for your guests. Here’s What You’ll Need: Tissue paper roll Glue or double sided tape Scissors Ribbon Wrapping paper or crepe paper Confetti, candy, small toys, etc to place inside Cracker snaps (optional – available at craft stores) Instructions: 1. Tape cracker snap to inside of paper roll. 2. Fill roll with confetti, candy, small toys, printed messages, etc. 3. Cut wrapping paper or crepe paper and wrap around tube. Place double sided tape or glue to secure. 4. Tie each end with ribbon or twine. We also made some colorful ones for the kiddos, and filled them with fun confetti made of tissue paper and glitter. You can of course fill them with small toys, candy or print out riddles or well wishes for the new year. We hope that you have been inspired by the various DIY and craft ideas this year. We look forward to bringing you new and inspiring crafts, DIYs and recipes in 2016. Have a safe and happy New Year!
