They’re here! New Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines Wallcoverings with York. This collection makes it easy to tell the story of home with a fresh take on designs that feel familiar, from wall to wall. We’re sharing a closer look at each Magnolia-exclusive style and which of our paint colors pair best—plus, the history behind York’s time-honored factory and process.

Hailing from the Susquehanna Valley of Pennsylvania, York Wallcoverings is a family-owned factory that was established in 1895. It’s been housed in the same building since opening day and even uses some original machinery for modern production.

Their unique surface printing machine was first introduced to the factory in 1898—creating beautiful wallcoverings by way of an intricate process where patterns are cut into hard rubber cylinders, then carefully rolled into paint and onto paper. This imparts an authentic, painterly texture—as hues are mixed by hand, then color matched by skilled designers prior to printing. (Fun fact: Our Lydia Wallpaper was crafted using this century-old machine!)

With over 100 years of experience in wallpaper production, York’s factory also houses archival prints dating back to the early 1800s. In fact, a few designs in this new line were derived from that collection of old-world artistry.

Now that you know the story, let’s get into the designs. Here’s an overview of what's in Jo’s collection:
