As we await, and then welcome, warmer weather, we’re taking a cue from nature—giving space for the world around us to grow slowly. Inspired by the pace of spring, we’ve found faux floral arrangements can help us embrace the coming season and create a little beauty of our own.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through a few of our favorite pairings—with tips from our stylists and ideas for where to place them in your home. Bringing together decorative flowers, greenery, and vases (from our new spring collection!), these lively displays are a simple way to celebrate the outdoors as it all begins to bloom.
These beauties have no sunlight or watering requirements, making them easy to place anywhere, and last all season long.
One Thing to Note:
Feel free to play around with these stems...we did! Adjusting, trimming, bending, and twisting. Don’t be afraid to make these your own—it’ll only help give them a more natural look and feel in your space.
Style 1: Balanced, Delicate, and Timeless
The pair:
How to arrange:
For this pairing, we loved the contrast between the rustic black vase and the soft, feminine roses. We filled the vessel space with quite a few stems, making the arrangement appear like a large bounty picked fresh from the garden. Another way to create a natural appearance is by varying the height of your stems. We snipped a bit off the length with wire cutters and removed any excess leaves at the bottom. You don’t want the area at the top of the vase to appear too bushy.
To establish movement and shape, each stem was bent and adjusted to flow organically from left to right. We didn’t want them to simply stand straight but rather mimic how they’d fall instinctively. The best part? Since this vase has a thinner neck and there are so many stems—the arrangement doesn’t require any chicken wire or floral foam to hold it all in place.

Style 2: Bright, Lively, and Playful
The pair:
Concrete Round Vase + Spring Blooms Bouquet + three Stock Flower Stems in white + six Freesia Stems
How to arrange:
This classic concrete vase is an ideal blank canvas for a more playful, varied arrangement. The rustic look helps balance the levity of the flowers and greenery above. We leaned into subtle colors here, bringing together plenty of stems and even one of our pre-assorted bouquets—filled with soft yellows, pinks, greens, and some neutrals.
When styling, we bent the long leaves downward to form organic shapes, and we made sure to clip any that started to feel too messy. The blooms could then reach upward and all around to round things out. Like the pairing above, this arrangement is big and full, so you don’t need anything else in the vase to hold your stems in place.

Style 3: Casual, Organic, and Textured
The pair:
Small Textured Adrienne Vase + five-seven Gunni Eucalyptus Sprays
How to arrange:
These eucalyptus stems are versatile—making it easy to add texture and color to any room. We wanted to pair them with an earthy, light-clay vase to reinforce the natural look and brighten up the surrounding area. Since this vessel is rather stout, we started by trimming the stems to better fit the height and removed any excess leaves around the neck. You may want floral foam at the bottom of the vase to give yours extra support.
One way to vary the appearance and make your arrangement more realistic is to alter a few of the stems, detaching a branch or two (you’ll see how we made use of them below). You can also give each piece its own character by looking for opportunities to bend, shape, and create organic movement. This is all to prevent uniformity and reflect what you may find out in the wild. Adjust and fluff each branch until it feels right to you!

Style 4: Fresh, Minimal, and Calming
The pair:
How to arrange:
Here’s another option to feature eucalyptus spray in your space, with simply one stem! We used a few clippings of excess greenery from the previous arrangement in two small, geometric vases to bring balance to this corner of the room. Begin by trimming your stems and adjusting the sizes just so—to align with the height of each vase. We allowed each piece to fall naturally, but you could insert a bit of floral foam if you want things to stay still.
These small beauties can be placed truly anywhere to welcome a fresh start for spring. Plus, they prove that one faux stem can go a long way to liven up your space.

Style 5: Whimsical, Elegant, and Vibrant
The pair:
Marcel Distressed Black Ceramic Vase + six Dutchess Roses in peach
How to arrange:
Dramatic yet refreshing, this pairing works well in clean, light-filled spaces to catch the eye and create contrast. We wanted the blooms to be the star here, so we chose a shorter ceramic vase in classic black and cut each stem so the flowers peek out just above the opening. Keep in mind you’ll still want to create levels and add dimension, so leave a few longer stems, placed so that each flower faces a slightly different direction.
You can see we chose to not completely fill the wide vase with stems. This approach helps to bring a note of levity and focus to the overall display. We recommend using floral foam to maintain this kind of positioning—especially with the heavier blooms.
