Sliced Tomatoes with Sea Salt and Onion Sugar

Ingredients
Onion sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup dried crispy onions
Tomatoes
  • 4 large tomatoes, preferably beefsteak or Big Boy variety, thickly sliced
  • Pinch onion sugar (recipe above)
  • Hearty pinch of flaky sea salt
    Directions
    1. Make the onion sugar: In a food processor, combine the sugar and onions and pulse until combined. Store in a clean, airtight jar.
    2. Make the tomatoes: Arrange the tomatoes on a platter and sprinkle with onion sugar and sea salt. Let the tomatoes sit at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
