Together Again We are ready to welcome you back! While you’ve been gone, our team has been preparing to make your return as safe and enjoyable as possible. We’re sure you have a lot of questions, so we’ve put together a quick overview of what changes to expect. Our Community, Our Responsibility As we move into this new season, we are reminded that all of the best things—home, family, friendship, and good food—are still the best things. We are grateful to be a part of this community, and will continue to do all we can to look out for one another. In addition to following Texas and City of Waco guidelines, each of our entities have made the following changes: No more than 50% capacity inside the buildingsAll staff wear masksAll staff at our food entities wear glovesContinual cleaning, including a deep clean each nightSingle-use menusFloor markers to encourage distancingOne-way flow through buildings when possibleReduced seating IMPORTANT NOTES Per a city order issued by Waco Mayor Kyle Deaver, all city businesses must now require employees and visitors to wear masks or alternate face coverings when multiple people are in the same room. Additionally, anyone above the age 10 must now wear a mask or face covering (scarf, bandana, etc.) in any public place where maintaining roughly six feet of separation would be difficult or impossible. All guests are expected to abide by these policies when visiting any of Magnolia’s businesses. For more information about the City of Waco’s recent face covering mandate, click here. During your visit, you’ll notice we’ve made lots of progress on the expansion of the grounds. The lawn in front of the Silos, Seed + Supply, gardens, and food trucks are closed, but will be reopened later this fall. To learn more about what you can expect during your visit, click here! What is being done at all Magnolia properties to keep our guests and our team safe? Distancing We provide floor indicators that allow over 6 feet of separation while guests are entering the building, at the registers inside, and waiting outside. Capacity In addition to floor markers, we monitor the number of guests entering the building and ensure there is no more than 50% of the building’s capacity entering at one time. At Silos Baking Co., we ensure there are no more than 5 groups entering at one time. Masks Each team member wears a mask to protect against the spread of germs. Gloves To minimize exposure, our team at each of our food entities wears gloves. We require new gloves to be worn at the start of every shift and switched out multiple times during the day. Healthy Employees We adhere to the state of Texas guidelines for screening employees prior to work. These measures include a daily questionnaire focused on exposure and health as well as infrared temperature checks upon arrival. Handwashing At the start of every shift, employees are required to wash their hands and maintain this practice routinely throughout their shift. Guests have access to soap and water in the bathrooms and hand sanitizer in specific locations on the property. Continual Cleaning Our team is committed to deep cleaning each building every night. In addition, we ensure all high-touch areas such as door handles, railings, tables and chairs are sanitized throughout the day. Contactless Payment We have made contactless payment available for our guests using credit cards at every location except those dining at our restaurant, Magnolia Table. Additional Measures Magnolia Table To minimize contact, we have made the menu available online and created a single-use menu for guests to use at the restaurant. In addition, our team does not place flatware, cups, and napkins on the tables until guests are seated. Our team is taking extra precautions to ensure the POS system is cleaned after each use to prevent the spread of germs. To ensure social distancing occurs while guests are eating, we are only seating guests in designated spaces. Our team is ready to provide the required spacing between tables to make guests feel as comfortable and safe as possible. Silos Baking Co. We have made our menu available online and will ensure all orders are taken outside the front door of the bakery. Weather permitting, payment processing and order pick up takes place once the guest is inside the building. We are no longer asking guests to fill out their order on a menu card. Our bakery patio is spaced out to ensure proper distancing protocols. We have opened up additional seating options in the courtyard in front of the Market for guests to enjoy a bakery treat. Magnolia Press Coffee Co. For safe entering and exiting, we enforce a one-way flow through the building. Our front door on Webster Avenue will function as an entrance-only space. The backdoor that opens to the patio serves as the main exit for guests leaving the building. We have also opened up our walk-up window on the back patio to serve guests who have placed call-ahead orders. To ensure social distancing occurs while guests are seated, we have removed half of the chairs in the indoor seating space. Our outdoor courtyard also provides additional social distance seating—and a great view of the Silos! Check out our menu. Magnolia Market We have created a flow through the Market by designating the front doors as an entrance only and the exit in the historic grain barn as an exit only. Guests are allowed to freely shop inside the Market, as our team ensures the capacity inside the building never exceeds 50%. Additionally, we have spaced out the registers to provide distance between guests checking out. Magnolia Vacation Rentals Our cleaning protocols for our three vacation rentals have been enhanced to ensure the safety of our guests. In addition to our routine cleanings before a guest arrives, we are also providing every visitor with disposable masks, hand sanitizer and gloves. How can I best protect myself and others when I come to visit? Per a City of Waco order, all guests are expected to wear a mask or alternate face covering when visiting any of Magnolia’s businesses.
