Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sticky rice
6 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
6 peels from 1 orange
2 cinnamon sticks
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter
2 ounces brandy
Directions
Bring rice to a boil in a medium saucepan with 2 quarts of water. Drain off the water. Add rice back into the pot and combine with milk, sugar, orange peels, and cinnamon. Simmer until rice is tender but not blown out, 40 minutes to 1 hour.
Remove from the heat. Remove orange peels and cinnamon sticks and stir in butter and brandy. Allow to cool for at least 12 hours before enjoying.
