Now that spring has officially arrived, I wanted to share a few spring tablescape ideas for a weekend brunch or for your Easter setting. No need to run out to the store and buy a bunch of new pieces—bring in what you already own and add a few fresh flowers from the supermarket, or you could simply use some foliage from your yard. I think it’s important to keep the table pretty simple—once guests and family have gathered around and the plates are filled with food, I never want it to feel cluttered or distracting.
I naturally gravitate toward the contrast of white ceramic plates and natural wood chargers. For white flowers, like these Callery Pear blooms pictured above, I chose to bring color in with blush napkins tied with twine and a simple stem of greenery snipped from the yard. This is an easy way to bring in the season and add extra texture to each place setting.
Each year I like to change it up a bit, but this spring I’m really drawn to these clear, vintage-inspired goblets and modern glasses for our drinks. Their simple silhouette and subtle texture blend nicely with everything else on the table.
For a few extra table details, consider putting together a charcuterie board for snacking, or cake stands that add natural height to the table and work well for elevating dinner rolls, breakfast pastries or desserts. Even additions like place cards can bring a personal element that the kids can help with.
